I am native English speaker with over 8 years of experience teaching ELL students and immigrant families in the United States, plus 4 years of experience as an ESL teacher in Japan.

Over the years I have developed my own curriculum and teaching style that focuses on student engagement and language retention. Advanced students learn complicated grammar and concepts through simplified and relatable lessons. Conversation-focused students do skill building activities and games that improve practical conversation skills, expand their working vocabulary and, most importantly, build thier confidence.

I actively listen and take notes during and after lessons to help my students improve in the next session and each lesson is personalized and paced for each students' individual ability. I have experience preparing students to take TOEFL, IELTS, and Eiken exams. I work with students of all ages: grade school students, university students, and working adults. No matter your skill level, I am confident that I can help you on your road to fluency!

Conversation Partner

$30 per lesson

A 40 minute guided conversation to help refine speaking skills and build confidence that lasts outside the classroom. Topics are based on skill level and student interests. Speaking and Listening focused.

Vocabulary Builder Class

$45 per lesson

A 60 minute lesson focused on rapidly building students’ working vocabulary. Each lesson new vocabulary is introduced and explained in detail. The goal of this class is comprehension and vocabulary usage. After each lesson, related reading material and homework is provided. Speaking and Reading focused.

Personalized Curriculum Class

$55 per lesson

A 60 minute personalized lesson using a holistic approach. This class focuses on building a strong foundation of the English language and improving overall comprehension. Students will gain access to personalized learning material tailored to their individual needs. Speaking, reading, writing, and listening focused.

Kid Conversation Class

$30 per lesson

30 minute personalized lessons made especially for kids ages 4 to 18. Classes are exciting and engaging. Teaches phonics and grammar in simple yet fun ways! Play while you learn! Speaking, reading, and listening focused.

Group classes available by special request for students 12 years or older.
